Bloomsburg Men's Soccer Ties with California

CALIFORNIA--Josh Prall's (Clarks Summit/Abington Heights) goal with 26 seconds left to play in regulation sent the Bloomsburg University men's soccer team into overtime with California (PA) on Sunday where the Huskies and Vulcans ended up playing to a 3-3, two overtime tie.

Prall's goal came on a free kick with Marcus Valeriano (Oley/Oley Valley) getting the assist for the Huskies. In the overtime periods, the Vulcans outshot the Huskies, 4-2, but goalie Jon Keller (Clarks Summitt/Abington Heights) stopped all three shots that were on goal to keep Bloomsburg in the game.

Bloomsburg opened the game's scoring 12:30 into the game when Mike Jones (Paoli/Great Valley) scored off a Bryan Darby (Doylestown/Central Bucks East) assist. Cal tied the score up at the 28 minute mark, then went in front five minutes into the second half. Prall tied the score at 2-2 for the Huskies when he and Valeriano teamed up at the 65 minute mark.

California went back in front with 10 minutes left to play before Prall and Valeriano pulled the Huskies even with time running out.

Bloomsburg, 1-8-1, 1-7-1 in the PSAC, visit East Stroudsburg on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
